    Here's a short demo I've just created for Vienna Solo Voices,

    It has 6 singers (the coloratura Soprano is in there as well), positioned in the Graz Maria Strassengel church curtosy of MIR Pro.


    I don't normally write choral music, so apologies to all the phrasing anomolies that I have probably created recording this.

    It's a direct link to the best quality mp3 I could encode, as I didn't feel the need to creat a YouTube video.

    I hope it shows the great potential of this vocal library.

    Finally!!!

    I was wondering why no one else has sent a Demo yet. It is very different from what I had demoed. But nice!

    I put mine on Youtube because I wanted to show the Positioning inside MIR. In my both Cases I just put a picture/Screenshot in the Player. That's all :)

    It would have been interesting to see how you have positioned the Players. But this is not so important. It's the Sound that`s counts.

    The singers were positioned very wide across the stage,  certainly wider than perhaps a real ensemble would ever be,

    from left to right:  Tenor, Mezzo Soprano,  Bass (centre), Alto, Soprano,

     

    with Coloratura Soprano behind the bass

    Hi Andy,

     

    Listening to your demo, thanks for this, the samples appear to have very strong vibrato. Is this amount present on all articulations and velocitly layers?

     

    It does bias the style towards more operatic type works rather than general use, and from what I hear may rule out their use in more etheral/atmospheric works.

     

    I'm waiting for the VSL demos but in the meantime be good to find out how universal the vibrato is.

    The vibrato is under control of velocity,  the lowest velocity layer has a very gentle vibrato, and increasing the velocity increases the vibrato depth, and brightens the tone of the voice as well. 

     

    If the lowest velocity layer was used, there would not be much noticeable vibrato, and  will produce a softer voice.
