  • Where are the presets for Force Strings A, D and E for Dim. Strings?

I notice there is Regular, Open Strings and Forgce G in the presets but none for the other force strings?

"Small Set"  and "Large Set" presets offer all string options within one preset.

  • Thank you kindly for the response Herb.  Let me explain why seperate ones are beneficial to me.

    Let's say I decided to have 4 violins play each of the force strings (1 on G, 1 on A. 1 on D and 1 on E).

If each preset was the same setup, I could use my Lemur Kewswitch system and each track would properly change articulations of the proper forced string, without me having to change each track individually.

Hope that makes sense.  Of course I could go through and manually make my own of all these forced strings for this purpose but it's more time I am not making music ;P.

I understand your needs (at least I think so)

The presets I mentioned (Small  & Large Sets) were designed for that purpose. Each string variation is mapped to a dedicated matrix inside the preset, and all presets for the different instruments follow the same layout.

If you want to work with different designed matrices things become a little convoluted, because you have to load for each matrix all six variations. For example 5 different Matrices, each one needs six string layouts (for Violins: Regular, Open sul G, D, A, E) needs a preset with 30 Matrices inside. Of course it's possible to design these kind of Presets, but for a factory preset this is too complicated.

  • Hi Herb,

Not exactly what I meant so let me please try again (I am sure it's just me not explaining it well enough).

If you open the presets you have already made us, you clearly have presets for "regular" which contain only regular samples.  Then you have another that is "open string" and one more for Force G string.  Each of these 3 has like 10 matrix setups, all which are identical with awesome sequencer tools already done that I use.

What I am asking is, why don't you offer the remaining forced strings presets, for A, D and E to match those above so that I can have 1 instrument track in Cubase called Violin 1 - Regular.  Another instrument track with Force G.  Another with Force D etc. so on and so forth.

This way, I can instantly summon additional players (your current only works with same person changing to a force string, I am not asking for that, I am asking to literally have player 1 be say 2 or 3 people in the orchestra, 1 being regular, and 2 more using say force G and force A on seperate tracks), using the additional force strings, and my Lemur project which will for instance auto step edit input a key switch that picks legato in Matrix 1, or a pfp6 in another matrix/cell.

Since all force string presets are identical, with the around 10 matrix setups and sequencer patterns, no matter which player instrument I choose, I will get that matrix and that sample.

Hope that makes more sense now?
