    I have a problem with Cubase 8 not seeing VEP pro on the network,

    when I create a VE Pro VST rack instrument, no available instances are recognized,   but I can type it in and it does work all OK from then on,   existing projects are still loaded OK (although instances and address remain blank),  it' seems that the network (VE Pro) is not reporting itself to Cubase 8 (or Cubase 8 is not looking for it ).


    just checking to see if anyone else is seeing this,  or if it just unique to my system.

    and if this is just a Cubase 8 bug,  or if VSL can do anything about this


    Running Windows 7 on both Master & Slave, latest version of VE Pro 5

    I'm using Cubase 8 with VEP 5 over a network and is working fine.  It discovers and loads my preserved instances without issue.

     

    I've seen reports of people ugrading MACs where they lose their firewall exceptions and have to open stuff up.  I'm on windows so can't help you much if that is the case.  However, I can say the VEP works great with Cubase 8, other than the track switch pause with ASIO Guard going.
