Hi all,
Does anyone know if there is a preset for MIR Pro, that has all dimension strings sections all setup and ready to go?
Thanks,

MIRx Mode offers settings for each and every single player of the Dimension Strings series for Konzerthaus Großer Saal, Mozartsaal and Teldex Studio.

... that's as much "ready to go" as it gets. 8-)
HTH,
You're welcome! The link to the MIRx Mode Manual Addendum might be the most helpful part in that thread ... 😉

There you'll also find screenshots which show the position of the Dimension Strings players on stage.

Hi Dietz,
I have begun setting up my orchestra using those settings and have been able to start getting a very good sound so far! Thanks!
I do have one question though. I am using as seen in the manual, Dimension Violins 1 and Dimension Violins 2. I am choosing orchestra 1 for Vi 1, and Orcehstra 2 for Vi 2. This places them perfectly on the stages, left and right side.
However, does this ensure that there will be no phasing? Meaning, Player 1, Vi 1, is the same as Player 1, Violins 2. So if I "stack them" and play "unison" legato lines with all Violins 1 and 2, will I get phasing issues?
Thanks!

The different settings created for the MIRx presets will guarantee quite some differentiation, but assuming the worst-case scenario (VI-1 and VI-2 playing _exactly_ the same articulation at the same time, using the same humanisation-settings within VI Pro), some phasing will indeed occur.
.... my personal opinion: VSL offers five different section-sizes for strings. Try to use (for example) Orchestral Strings plus Dimension Strings Player 1,3,5,7 for VI-1, and Chamber Strings plus Dimension Strings Player 2,4,6,8 as Vi-2. This will give you unlimited flexibility, the full sections' sound - and no phasing under any circumstances.
Best,
