Hello. Does VI Pro respond to 14-bit extended MIDI pitch bend messages? I'd like to get better pitch resolution than 64 steps per semitone (1.5625 cents) if possible.
Thanks, Kenneth.

Extended Precision Pitchbend?

I've never used a host that wasn't 14-bit as per the pitch band lane, so yes. Also note that 'per semitone' depends on settings in the instrument. IE: if you set VI Pro's limit to a semitone (or whatever) rather than the default (and maximum) whole tone, the 8192 (+/-) gradation applies to that.

As I'd hoped, yes. I'm going to be doing some tuning experiments with tuning the orchestra to prime harmonics and was hoping for that kind of accuracy. Kenneth.

IE: I think VI Pro would be seriously remiss to not take 14-bit pitch bend, the original spec from the early 80's.
I have definitely made use of ~0.55 cents (24/8192) where it made a real difference with a Vienna Instrument.
