  • final mix and faster way to compose

    I've this "Dilemma" (problems)
I use two computer for my work. One for Giga and the second one for Cubase sx2 and other vst iNs.
first of all i loose many time to load my different set up on giga (strings setup, brass, woodwinds) and i have many difficulties to compose a good full orchestral piece. Any suggest for go faster in this way?
My second question: Is it better to mixdown each separate dry track from giga to cubase and then mixing? or is it better realize a final mix on midi way and then mixdown on a single track master for mastering?
    Thank a lot everybody

at the moment this is my best english [:O]ops: [:O]ops:

  • Piernick, it depends on how big your orchestral pieces really are. If you have 4 different *.gig files (brass, winds, perc. and strings), then you might want to think about getting more RAM (or if you have the money, another PC). About the mastering, however, I don't know what to tell you. Hope this helps!

I have almost exactly the same problems! Two PC's, giga v Cubase SX2....

I send my giga tracks as digital audio to a digital desk and mix in there. My cubase and giga stuff never cross over except in the desk.
