  • Question about VIPro

Apologies if this is blindingly obvious, but whether by accident or inexperience I seem to have some instances of VIPro with no Master Bus. Channel 1 is assigned to a VIPro channel for the first loaded instrument. I assume that channel 1 should always be the Master Bus otherwise there is no access to the GUI of the mixer / pan. My question is how to load a Master Bus in an instance of VIPro where there isn't one? Hopefully without upsetting the channel that are already in place.

Please correct if I'm not approaching this correctly.

    Thanks.

  • So create a bus, name it 'Master' and output = 01/02.

Drag it all the way to the left for "1 Master" in the automation list.

  • I have to assume you mean VE Pro, but typed VI Pro. In VE Pro 5, there won't be any upsetting the other channels except for how they are ordered, and meaningfully so as per the Automation Map. If you have an instrument as '1 VI Pro', dragging and making a new '1 Master Bus' changes that and everything to its right obviously. No way around that.

VE Pro 4 was another matter, there was no reordering like that. But "Master Bus" here is just a bus with that name.
