Hi,
I'm stucked in the mixin process. Theres is something in the balance whats driving me insane :D
I dont know - if I'm the only one who hears this - I shut up... but:
listen to this:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3094444/cello%20argh.wav
This is just a staccato cello with no adjustments (just accents) and no effects - absolutely dry. But I hear the notes jumping in the panoroama. I have everything neutal. Or are my ears broken? Whats the mistake I made?
Greetings

Hello Fastel,
We are recording all samples dead-center stereo, and of course the room reacts differently to different sounds and ninimal position changes (as a test, play a sine wave and move around in front of your speakers).
So that is normal behaviour of samples, and it cannot be avoided. Reverb and placement in the room helps (changing the stereo width of the signal, depending on where and how far away from the mic your instruments are placed in your mix).
Best,
Paul
