  • Purpose of multitimbral instrument

    Hi all

I'm new to VE Pro so I'm tyring to figure out how all the routing works.

I'm wondering why it is necessary to use a multitimbral software instrument in Logic X when using the multi output VE Pro plugin. When I tried setting it up that way, following the video tutorial from the website, I noticed that solo/muting a single track solo/mutes all the tracks unless I create aux tracks in the mixer and solo/mute the aux tracks.

I want to be able to solo/mute the tracks individually from the main window, so I'm just wondering, why cant I just use a non-multitimbral instrument, create aux tracks with the multi output VE Pro plugin like I did before, and just add those aux tracks to the main window?

    Thanks for the help

    Dylan
