  • Special Edition Oboe can't sustain a note!?!?!

What would cause all of the Oboe patches to be incapable of sustaining a note more than 4 beats at 58 BPM? I don't remember ever having this problem before.

I have the first two special edition bundles wwhich I guess is the first 4 fo the new system,

    • I'm using Cubase, VE Pro, and VI Pro
    • I've tried all of the sustain and all of the legato-sustain patches from all of the oboes
    • I have tried with and without expression maps
    • I've monitored the midi data and can see nothing but the note trigger and CC2 messages being fed to VI Pro
    • I've tried deleting the track from the sequencer and re-recording it.
    • When I re-record it, the note sustains perfectly fine when triggering from the keyboard, but then when I play it back....lasts exactly one measure and then, gone!
    • I just tried with the English Horn - same resuilt
    • I just loaded a kontakt instance into another channel of the same VE Pro Instance and instruments from other libraries are working fine.

I've spent HOURS screwing around with this one note! Can anyone shed any light on this?

  • Hello PeteyMan,

Sorry to hear about these troubles. Just check in Cubase, no troubles here.

Please send your Cubase project (as a zip file, best with one note for each instrument that doesn´t work with sustained notes) to , I´ll take a look.

    Best,

    Paul
