  • Whats the ultimate VSL purchase?

Hello, Looking for some information regarding VSL, I am no stranger to Samples. I have however been intrigued by the sound of VSL and love the idea of having a set of tools to mix with that are made for VSL. My question is this: Is there a definitive bundle product? I need the full orchestra, the most realistic sounds, and tools such as spacial placement, reverb etc to go with it. I would need VSL to cover soft arrangements, all the way to huge cinematic trailers. Have I came to the right place? Perhaps its just me but I don't find the site that user friendly, so I thought Id ask the VSL community. Imagine if you will that money is no object and I want the best. Thanks, Kristopher

  •  For samples, go to Products / Instrument Collections / Vienna Supper Package. That's the complete bundle.

Then go to Products / Software. You'll want VI Pro, VE Pro and MIR Pro.

    That should about do it...

Dorico, Notion, Sibelius, StudioOne, Cubase, Staffpad VE Pro, Synchon, VI, Kontakt Win11 x64, 64GB RAM, Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, August Forster 190
  • Also--Dimension Strings is just ridiculously good.

I agree, provided of course your budget doesn't bust at the seams.

On that note, the Vienna Super Package might be too much for what you're doing.  You mentioned, among other things, cinematic trailers.  Well, I don't know your music or your style but most trailers I hear nowadays wouldn't require the Vienna Super Package.  You could probably get by with something in the Special Edition collections.  Along with a lot of sensless taiko thuds and over dramatic crescendos, but back to the matter at hand.

Be sure to take your time, consider the sample content of each bundle library and/or software product and utilize the free demos.  This will save you a lot of trouble.

As far as your statement about the site not being too user friendly.  Perhaps you're used to the Eastwest affiliated sites with their "one-library-fits-all" approach.  It's a different game here my friend which requires careful study and an understanding of exactly what each library/software product is capable of and exactly what your needs are.  Incidentally, I kind of like the VSL site the way it is.  It keeps out the riff raff.

    Welcome aboard.
