moving libraries from old MAC PRO to new MAC PRO
Hi All, I copied all the folders with the .dat files for the VSL SPecial Edition 1,1+,2,2+,3 & 4 from my old computer to the new one. I installed the elicenser on the new computer, plugged in my USB keys, and installed the latest Vienna Instruments & Ensemble software package. When I choose Vienna Instrument for a track in Logic Pro 10, I get the COcoa look Vienna instruments plugin/player (which is new to me I was used to a different look on the older Mac Pro) The plugin does not find any of the copied over folders. Is there an additional step to get the Logic plugin to find the copied over folders? Thanks in advance! mgw

Hi gwhiz,
Please open the Directory Manager (find it in "Applications" (OS X) or "All Programs" (Win) => then "Vienna Instruments").
"Remove" all folders, if there are any assigned already - then add all sample content again by drag and drop from your Finder/Explorer.
More information about how the Directory Manager works can be found in this video:

HI Paul, Thanks for the quick response. I didn't see a link to a video in your post? I don't have a Directory Manager in Applications=>Vienna Instruments. I do have a "V I Library Installer" but when I run that, it dies with the error: Dyld Error Message: Library not loaded: /Library/Application Support/VSL/Qt/4.6.2/Frameworks/QtGui.framework/Versions/4/QtGui Referenced from: /Applications/Vienna Instruments/Vienna Instruments Library Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Vienna Instruments Library Installer Reason: image not found There is also a "Library Installer" (Without the Vienna Instruments in front.) That one runs, but asks me to locate the package.info file for the library to install. Perhaps there is some other earlier "install" I need that I completed on the old machine, but haven't done on the new machine. FWIW< there="" is="" a="" directory="" manager="" in="" the="" applications="">Viennna Instruments on the old mac . Thank you!! Michael

Hi gwhiz,
Sorry, seems like my link didn´t work, here is the link to the Directory Manager video.
I´d install the latest version of Vienna Instruments, to be safe, this should definitely place the Directory Manager in the right location.
Best,
Paul
