I own MIRPro 24 which I've used for over a year now. I've come up with a workflow where I've saved separate Vienna Ensemble projects for VSL Dimension Strings sections; one for Violins I, one for Violins II, one for Violas, etc., as well as winds and percussion. I can call as many as 7 or 8 Vienna Ensemble instances for one piece of music. I call the VE instances from my Notation program, Notion 4.
This works beautifully when I use MIRPro as a VST Plug-in in Notion; each VE instance "sees" the other one and I have a single MIRPro stage with all the different instruments from each different ensemble instance in one stunningy gorgeous MIRPro interface.
However, I recently tried experimenting with MIRx and this seems to require that I use MIRpro as an inline plug-in inside each VE instance. This is OK, I've figured out how to do that; but the problem is I now have a unique MIRPro stage for each ensemble. Am I doing something wrong? Have I missed something?
On the other hand, this approach provides me the opportunity to set mic's and output controls for each different ensemble section. It seems like I could have different mic locations, each with its own secondary mic, one for each of however many VE Instances I have. Is this somehow making a mess of the sample system? Am I breaking some immutable law of MIR physics by spreading all these different mics all over the stage?
