I understand that MIRx resides inside VI now. For some reason yesterday I did not completely understand that and bought two of the MIRx. I didn't try first as I was confident in what I was getting. It sounded terrific as expected.
Somehow I thought That MIRx also could be utilized on other instruments being used as plugin channels in VEP5.
I was wrong as MIRx resides inside VI.
I noticed afterwards that MIR24 supports 3rd party plugins and can work inside your host or VEP 5?
Does this mean that I could use MIR24 on say an East West channel inside VEP5? or say the audio channels of my real pinao inside VEP5?
If so then I made a big mistake buying two MIRx yesterday as good as it sounds. One for my producer wife and one for me.
The main issue for me is that I have been used to , for years, exporting all midi tracks to audio mixdown DRY , and then afterwards treated them with reverb, convolution or whatever , and this is what I envisioned with MIRx or MIR24.
I will feel better if the response here is that the answer is that neither MIRx nor MIR24 would do what you seek and rather are strictly for the Vienna instruments only as midi tracks and either go all at once to mixdown with MIRx or one at at time with the 'reverb' embedded.
So far I think I made a big mistake in buying 2 of MIRx and should have purchased MIR24 or MIR Pro.
