problems sending audio from cubase 7.5 to vep
Hello: I am having some trouble sending audio from cubase 7.5 to VEP. When I have a project loaded in cubase with an instance of VEP, and this in turn loaded with two "play" (rompler from east to west its libraries) with one kontakt instrument and using MIR pro, I happen to send the audio from cubase VEP to the audio output from a VSTi (ezdrummer2) routed to a bus group, this does not emit sound through the VEP. I tried to route multiple audio track entirely by VEP project and these sound, but if I try any more this track is muted. I have configured the server Vienna with 30 I / O audio. I use a Mac Pro 2012 with 2x2, 4 xeon, 24 Gb RAM, Mavericks 10.9.3 and Cubase 7.5.20. Any comments?

I'm not sure you have conveyed your idea properly. You have stated that you're trying to send an output to an output. That doesn't make sense, and I expect it's a mistake in your communication, so I don't know what the problem is actually. But how it works is this: set up VE Pro Audio Input as an FX channel or insert it as an effect on the audio or instrument channel you want effected at the VE Pro end; this send is to an audio input you have instantiated in VE Pro. It comes back to Cubase as an instrument channel per how you assign its output in VE Pro.
Or I'm just unclear on the signal path as you have it. "From cubase VEP", I don't know what you mean. But the audio from VEP in Cubase does not need to see an audio channel ("the audio output" as you have it there); in essence, the instrument channel is an audio channel for all intents and purposes. IE: you can send from the instrument channel, you can insert on the instrument channel etc.
But sending 'to the audio output from a VSTi' doesn't make sense. IE: if your signal is terminated, there it is. Maybe you want to output both things separately to a group and connect that group to VEP.

hello : Sorry, my English is not very good , and so is a bit complicated to explain. I have a project halfway finished and I bought the " MIR pro " and wanted to use it to position the virtual instruments and audio tracks that are already recorded in the same space. I used a VIENNA ENSEMBLE PRO instance to load most virtual instruments, but I have the ezdrummer2 loaded directly into cubase . The ezdrummer2 has enabled audio outputs for the different elements (BD 1 output, the other SN , HH other and so all the elements ) . At the same time , the audio outputs are routed to a group bus in cubase . The ezdrummer2 could have loaded in the existing instance of VEP , but I did not want to complicate and decided to send the output of the bus that gets all the EZdrummer sounds into an audio track of the existing instance of VEP . But when loading the plugin to send the sound to the VEP ( is connected, and everything configured properly) , no sound comes to VEP , it mutes the drums , if I disconnect the plugin that sends audio , battery resumes , but within cubase , not using the VEP . It also happens when I do this with some audio tracks. Some sounds using the VEP , and other audio tracks do not. Do not know if I'll be well explained . Greetings

I think I follow. That should work. I just tested it to be absolutely sure, an instance of NI Reaktor in Cubase, two outputs to a group, the group to an audio input in VEP. It simply works. I don't know what's terminating your signal from this description. How are you connecting to the audio input?
Here it is, with the audio coming back to Cubase in the VEP instrument channel 'FX Verb':

One thing I noticed here, though, was that 'Group 1' Channel Settings window does not light up as to show signal. Yet, assuredly it is the only thing here going to that audio input so that channel 'subson' is getting that group's audio.
There, I had inserted VE Pro Audio Input. So it appears to terminate the signal but in fact it does not. I guess this is a bug in at least the Cubase I'm using. But there is no doubt that VE Pro input 'subson' can only be getting signal from that bus. Reaktor is generating audio, Cubase is otherwise idle, there is no playback of tracks, there is no possibility of my other connection producing that result.
Here, I send it to the FX Channel in Cubase I was already using, and the output of Group 1 lights up. So, have you done this by insert and just don't see the signal or are you really not hearing it?

Hello: In a new project with only ezdrummer2 loaded. I have been able configure the audio output from the VSTI to VEP without any problem. The problem is in the project I've been talking about. It could be that the project has been corrupted. Do not know if it's the cubase project, or will be the VEP project. Everything is set up correctly. It is not that the level meters do not move. is not sound.I sent the project to support, see what they say. Thanks Best regards.
