    I have noticed that when I load one the solo violin2 patches, I get a message saying: "You have only 5 startups left". I don't the have the computer with me so I cannot check the exact wording.

    My understanding was that the violin2 patches were part of an update. I have licences for the solo strings (standard and extended).

    Why am I getting this message?

    I don't have a Violin 2...did I miss something?

    Hi,

    We have added the basic articulations for a Violin2 on the patch level, these are just transposed. This is not really advertised, but of course documented in the Library Manual of Solo Strings I&II.

    @esperlad:

    What exactly does the error message say? Do you want to send screenshots to , of the error message and your eLCC with the key connected?

    Could it be that you are using a library with the demo license on your key, without the actual permanent license? Maybe from a demo download or so?

    I was wondering about the Violin2 also. There's a Solo strings library update, and also a DVD solo strings update. What's the difference? (I have the DVDs)

    Hi Bill,

    The Solo Strings Library Update is for the Download files.

    The DVD Solo Strings Library Update is for the files installed from DVD (we integrated those updates in the Download versions, and then there were some minor additional bug-fixes).

    The reason I ask is that I dont' see a Violin2 patch, so wasn't sure if I installed the right update, but I did do the DVD one.

    I loaded some patches from violin2 to see if the message would come up. It did not pop up this time.. I have seen it before and wondered what was going on since I have the licene for the standard and extended solo strings. At the time, I was not using anything that might be in demo form. The message suggests that I am using some sort of demo. I will try and get a screen shot the next time I see the message.
