    Recently bought Dimension Brass. I find the volume to be quite a bit less than other VSL instruments. I usually have an ff for a single instrument at -20 to -25 db. No problem with the woodwinds or stings. (Not the Dimension Strings.) To get this volume from a single instrument of the Dimension Brass, I have to crank up the main volume quite a bit. Even with CC11 in the upper range.

    Hi,

    You should have a look at the chart on the last page of the MIRx manual, called "Natural Volume Overview" (http://www.vsl.co.at/en/68/428/2622/2257.htm).

    It's very useful to get a good orchestral balance, even if not using MIRx.
