Oboe vienna loading issue
Hi folks, I encountered a strange behaviour when loading the vienna oboe into VI pro. The libraries in use are Special Volumes WW1-2, BB1-2. While all instruments are automatically named in the mixer-track (Ensemble Pro) and assigned properly in Mir pro this one is not. This happens in stand-alone-mode as well as in a DAW or Sibelius. Also sustains-sounds will not be triggered when using Sibelius including the soundsets. While all other articulations are doing well it refuses to reset to sus - it selects rSta instead. When using keyswitches entered manually into a staff it shows reaction but snaps back to rSta after articulation changes. Any ideas? My setup: Win 7 - 64bit , Sibelius 7.1.3 + 7.5, Cubase 7.5, Ensemble Pro 5, Mir Pro, VI Pro. NO SLAVE so far but coming soon.

Hello Wizzarts!
I can confirm that the current version of MIR Pro doesn't recognize the Special Edition Oboe Vienna automatically. We will fix this as soon as possible. In the meantime please assign the instrument profile manually.
The switches in Sibelius work as expected here though. Please check the following things:
- Do you use the sound set "VE Special Edition PLUS"?
- Did you assign a program/channel for all instruments in your score on the Sibelius Manual Sound Sets page?
- Did you load the Matrix "12S Oboe vienna +"?
- Did you make manual output or channel settings in the Sibelius mixer? If you did so, please reset all outputs to (Auto) as making manual settings there can mess up the playback.Further help can be found in the Troubleshooting section of the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual.

Hi Andi,
thanks for your answer.
I did check all of those settings before.
There were 2 scenarios. One more worse than the other. The first is a whole mess-up of everything. The second is that Sibelius channel-bug doesn't allow 2 similar instruments.
But I found a solution this afternoon.
I opened the soundset and duplicated the needed instruments, and, of course, renamed them.
Now I have some more sound-IDs I can select in preferred sound on the edit-instrument-panel like winds.flutes.flute.ensemble2
Then I created a new set of instruments. Flute-ensemble was missing anyway.
Now everything works brilliant so far.
When finished I can create a tutorial how to do this.
All the best 3ndy
PS: How do you manage it to get linebreaks?
PSS: I finally found it... :D

Hi Wizzarts!
I'm glad to read that you have found a solution.
Anyway, Sibelius does allow two (or more) similar or identical instruments. So there probably was some kind of mistake somewhere in your set up.Best,
AndiPS. The automatic profile detection for the Special Edition Oboe Vienna has been added to the next MIR Pro version.

Hi Andi,
this is good news....
Well, about the behaviour when adding two similar instruments with separate midi-channels I must say I never got this properly working.
I had a long-going discussion with Jonathan Loving about this. We did all possible steps in any kind of order w/o any useable result.
The best we got was a good running system which worked as expected. But after saving and loading it again everything was messed up again.
So, for me the solution is the best thing to do.
Anyway, the sounds are blowing my mind.
thanks a lot
