Basic question here guys. Do VIs load into memory or do they stream from the disk? EIther way, is theere any virtue in going to SSDs?

Both. There is a pre-load which puts a small part of the sample into memory, and the rest streams from disc.
There are three advantages to SSD:

- Samples load faster
- You can stream more "voices" per drive
- You can reduce the pre-load buffer (using VI Pro) and therefore use less RAM, which makes loading even quicker.
