  • Sequencer

Hi all Maybe, it's me I can not understand the use of the sequencer function in Vienna Ensemble Pro ... I watched the video but I can not figure out what I can do with this function. I use Cubase as a sequencer ... can someone give me some help? Thanks so much Lucio

  • I know in the past a lot of users requested a sequencer.  I guess it's for those who use notation software and they want more control over note lengths, starts, stops, dynamics, etc.so their compositions don't sound so wooden.

Also, if you record externally through a 24 track mixing console or something, an internal sequencer allows you record without having to pay for expensive sequencing software.

There are probably some LIVE play applications as well.

If you perform your sequencing and recording through Cubase then you probably won't need the Vienna sequencer.

    Hi,

I guess you are referring to the VI PRO APP Sequencer.

There are quite some reasons to use this advanced sequencer, that also "thinks" in harmonic terms:

    • Runs, trills, mordents
    • Patterns (easy to create variations), with multiple sections
    • Chords (it can trigger up to 16 instruments with one touch, and gives you, e.g., correct legato transitions between different sections when changing chords)

The best idea is to check out the VI PRO video tutorials and then play around with this sequencer. If you have tablet, the VI PRO Remote APP will add more usability for all Sequencer presets as well.

    Best,

    Paul

That was going to be my second guess.[:$]
