  • Midi Export with VE Special Edition Plus from sibelius

Hi there, i have an urgent problem. Actually midi export works all fine for all articulation, dynamics (i am mostly using cc11 with velocity crossfade). when i import the midi file into ableton live or any other sequencer, where i am using the same VSL ensemble configuration also everything works great. but there is one problem: the cc1 information which is (by default of the vsl instrument patches (also great)) switching between patches on each keyswitch seem to be different. for example: notes which play perfectly in sibelius (rep spiccato (G#1, CC1= 64) are randomly interrupted by the rep legato patch (G#1, CC1=0). yet i couldn't figure out why nor find any work around. hope anyone has an idea! cheers benedikt

  • Hello Benedikt!

Just a shot in the dark. If this occurs randomly, it might be the Mod-Wheel from your keyboard that sends unwanted CC1 data. I would try and diconnect (or turn off) all hardware MIDI devices and see if the problem still occurs.

    Best regards,
    Andi
