  • Reverb stay ON

Hello there, I'm pretty new to vsl and daws in general, I'm using VSL SE Vol.1 and Cubase Artist 7.5. I have a problem with the reverb, it turns off sometimes although I turn it on in Vienna Ensemble. What is the mechanism that determines the Reverb? I want it to stay on all the time. Some Instruments won't stay this way. Is the reverb linked to the articulations? I don't use keyswitches and have the articulations assigned to CC15 for example. Maybe editing the articulations with CC15 turns off the reverb some times? Greetings

  • What CC is mapped to the reverb on/off state? I suggest that if you always want it on, you make sure that there is no CC mapped to it, so it can't be switched on and off by accident.

  • The Reverb is CC14, also by default I think. But no matter how I edit it, the reverb is off, it also shows in vienna ensemble. It's only the level of reverb I can edit with CC14, but the ON/OFF toggle is independent. I think I'm missing something:D

  • In the Vienna Instruments GUI click Advanced, Ctrl Map and almost cetainly you'll find that the Reverb on/off is set to CC15. Click Source and then set it to none.

  • Oh yes it was:) thank you very much. So that was a stupid coincidence that I randomly chose CC15 for the articulations...
