  • Opus Underbelly!

I'm getting into the underbelly of Opus 1, trying to map out some "custom" instruments. What I'm wondering about is the difference between (for example) "HO_LV_nA_sus_f" and "HO_L_LV_nA_sus_f" -- please don't say "L"! (Like: "What's the difference between PC-333 and PC-400?", "67!")

I can't seem to figure out what the "L" in this case stands for...(?) It seems that there are complete alternate versions of sustained notes with the "L" included, but I can't figure out the difference... It's not painfully obvious on a quick listen.

  • The instruments with the L are "looped" instruments for indefinite sustains, whilst the other version is merely the recorded length.

    Hope this helps

  • AH!!!

Thanks! I'm glad I wasn't using them, since I don't need loops... Good to know, also, that my ears aren't so crappy that I wasn't hearing some other painfully obvious difference.

    thanks again,

    J.
