Orchestral Strings Standard Library
I'm saving up to get the standard library of the Orchestral Strings Bundle, and I was wanting to check if the Standard Library is an improvement in every respect over the Special Edition Plus, or whether some of the improvements need the Extended Library.

I bought Orchestral Strings bundle month ago and can say that there is no immediate noticeable difference for example in legato patch. You have half step sampled content which is better sounding in some situations, you have some new articulations an also more round robins for some aritculations (staccato for example) This is good, but you will shortly want extended this version because of runs marcatos repetitions and all the dynamics stuff.... I found Woodwinds standard bundle much more different to SE.

I went from SE Plus to the full Orchestra Strings quite some time ago. While the sound is better in the Orchestra Strings standard over SE Plus, to me there is not enough of a difference to strongly suggest making that particular change. OTOH, when comparing SE Plus to the full Orchestra Strings collection (standard + extended), then, IMO, there is no real comparison, and the full Orchestra Strings are way, way better. I find the wealth of articulations in the full Orchestra Strings collection to be of great importance. If possible, try to save up to be able to get the full collection.
