Real Time Controller
I have noticed, now that I have the Brass and Wind Single instruments, that the Real Time Controller is set up different to those for Soecial Edition, using the Sibelius presets. If I was to use the same settings on those Special edition instruments I still use, such as Strings, would those settings work? The Single Instruments setting are much more detailed than for Special Edition.

Hello Phil!
I'm not sure if I understand your question.
For the Special Edition instruments use the Special Edition sound set and the matrices that are preinstalled with the Library content. For the Woodwinds and Brass Single Instruments, please use the sound set "VE Woodwinds + Brass" and the according VI presets that come with the VSL Sound Set installer.

I am using everything as you said. I'm talking about the Real. Time. Controller in the VPRO Basic window. If you look at how the Flute loads up from Special Edition, and then compare how the Single Instrument Flute loads up, it is more detailed with 8 parameters set up, such as expression, Velocity X-fade etc. in Special Edition there are much less. I assume it is set up this way to get the best performance out of Sibelius. I noticed this difference with every wind and Brass instrument after moving up from Special Edition. As I still have the Strings in Special Edition only I was wondering if I adopted the same settings for those as are inthe Single instruments, whether that would work? If you look at the Advanced Window for the Special Edition Violin, the SlotX controller is at 127, whereas all the wind and Brass are at 0. When I eventually save up the money for the Orchestral Strings Bundle, will SlotX still be at 127 or will it be at 0 like the Wind and Brass? I hope you understand me now.

Hello Phil!
Now I see what you mean. You can add any real time controller you want in the Basic View. Simply click on N/A, add a controller and assign a CC. You can then save your settings as a preset.
The position of the SlotX-Fader is only relevant for cells with patches in the b-slots. With the exception of the Dimension Brass and Strings the VI presets for Sibelius don't have patches in the b-slots. To answer your question. The SlotX-Fader is at position 127 in the VI presets for the Strings collections.
Best,
Andi
