VEP delay compensation in PT11
Just installed the latest VEP this morning (via VEP update checking): VEP - 5.2.12844 10.8.4 11.0.3.14 2.66 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon 16GB RAM - 1066 MHz DDR3 Delay Compensation is ON in PT and all "green" (AKA within limits). Audio recorded that routes thru VEP is out of sync even with VEP set to "Buffers - None". It does get progressively worse as I increase the VEP buffer, but I can't record audio in sync at all that is routed to VEP and back again. So I wonder if VEP is reporting it's latency to PT11 correctly? Audio inside PT that does NOT route to and back from VEP records in sync.

Hello Davoe,
I cannot reproduce this here - Delay Compensation works fine here in PT 11 and VE Pro 5.2.12844...
Or are you talking about a Live Input as audio signal, which is then routed to VE Pro via the Audio Input plug-in?
This will of course introduce latency - Delay Compensation by design only works for playback, not for live playing!

Nothing live - NO Instrument plug-ins either - all audio is on recorded tracks, sent to VEP and back again. 100% In a completely different session, this just almost bit me big time. I was about to send out some tracks, where PT11 had reported FULLY COMPENSATED audio, and the recorded tracks were over 5 frames late to the source tracks. Note - no plug-in "delays" are being used here - as in 100% wet delays being the culprit. 2 of the channels contain Slate VCC and UBK Clariphonic, and 2 others contain Valhalla Vintage Verb, and Eventide Blackhole. I'm only using VEP for this because these 4 plug-ins are required for this task and are not PT11 ready yet. This is pretty scary and I can't trust the delay compensation from VEP to PT11.0.3.

Here is a brand new session with nothing but a pop on one channel, routed to VEP and back again. Even with no plug-ins in VEP, this records out of sync. In this case it's even early. - 10.8.4 11.0.3.14 2.66 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon 16GB RAM - 1066 MHz DDR3 - VEP 5.2.12844 - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/367778/Misc/VEP%20Sync%20test.zip

And for grins I opened this same basic session in 10.3.6 and it records out of sync and early too - though by a different amount than PT11.0.3. - Here is a screenshot of the source and recordings. Granted, it's not 5 frames off like my other session I mentioned, but far from sample accurate. - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/367778/Misc/VEP_Sync_test.jpg

Hello Davoe,
I have just downloaded your PT session - thanks for making it available.
Please note, that the VE Pro Server Interface plug-in is supposed to be instantiated in a stereo Instrument Track of its own.
You have inserted both the VE Pro Audio Input plug-in and the VE Pro Server Interface plug-in in one and the same Audio Track - this routing makes delay compensation impossible!
