Thanks to the awesome support from Vienna, and the members on this board, this is now resolved. Part of the issue was I downloaded the incorrect program from the download page...for some reason, the latest revision of VEPro is labeled as "Vienna Ensemble Service (64-bit)". I downloaded the previous revision, and it now opens as Vienna Ensemble Server (64-bit). This, along with the static IP's, fixed the problem! This software is fantastic!
Hello,
This is probably been asked many times, but I am stumped......
I have been using VEPro 5 on my single PC without issue. I recently added a Mac as the master, with the intention of utilizing my PC as the slave hosting
all of my VI's. I got everything loaded up as per the tutorial videos and manual, but I'm not having any luck seeing the slave
computer in the server VEPro interface in Cubase 7. When I press connect, I only see the local host (the Mac). I have both machines connected via gigabit, directly with a regular cat 5 ethernet cable (no router, etc). I have also turned off the firewall on the PC, enabled sharing, etc, but I understand this is not
necessary.
What am I missing? Perhaps it's my OS? My PC (slave) is running Win 7 Pro 64bit, and the Mac is running OS X 10.9, Mavericks. Maybe I'm missing a few settings in the Mac's network preferences??
Any help GREATLY appreciated.
