  • no midi devices are configured....

hello i am fairly ignorant when it comes to computers. that said i have a question. i open vienna ensemble service 64 bit then i open vienna ensemble 64 bit. this then comes up "No MIDI devices are configured. Please review audio/MIDI preferences" i click ok and it takes me to the audio/midi preferences. when i click on midi there are no midi input devices listed. i imagine that there should be some listed. sorry if there is an obvious answer! thanks for your help matt

  • Hello Matt,

You are opening the STANDALONE Vienna Ensemble PRO there.

What do you actually want to do, and which OS are you working on`?

    Best,

    Hi Matt,

Just checked your registrations, you have SE Vol 1 and Concer Guitar Full Library registered on your account

=> So I was wrong about Vienna Ensemble PRO, you were using the non-PRO Vienna Ensemble, which comes with your purchase.

Did you check out the Sibelius Video already?

You will find the Sibelius Sound Sets here.

I believe that the general VI Tutorials will also be helpful for you.

    Best,

    Paul

  • Hi Paul, I downloaded the Sibelius Sound Sets awhile ago and there were only 2 pdfs in the sound sets folder. I tried to download it again and i got the same results. I'm imagining there should be something else in the same folder as well. Maybe this is the issue? thanks Matt

    Hi Matt,

If you are logged in, you should see Sibelius Soundsets here.

If not, please send a screenshot to that shows that you are logged in (upper right corner).

    Best,

  • Hi Paul I already downloaded it from the sibelius sound sets page you linked to. i went through all of the steps to install it. then when i went to the applications folder on my mac to access the sound sets that i just downloaded the only thing in the folder was two pdf files. and nothing else. i am guessing there should be something more in the folder than two pdfs. Thanks!

  • Hello Matt!

The sound sets get installed in a different folder. You should be able to load them after you activate Vienna Ensemble in the Sibelius Playback Devices menu.

    Best regards,
    Andi
