  • Editing a patch

I am working with the baritone sax portato short patch, and I would like to be able to edit the patch in such a way that I would only hear the quietest layer, but be able to play it at all dynamic levels.   In other words, I want to play the quiet sound loudly and avoid the harshness of the louder layers.  I know, of course, that this is not the way the baritone sounds in reality, but reality is not what I am after.   Adjusting the velocity crossfades doesn't seem to do the trick.   Does anyone have any suggestion as to how to disable the louder layers in the patch?  Thanks for any thoughts.

  •  You can try out that setup:

    Activate Velocity Xfade (ON)

Set Velocity XFade Slider to 0

Set Dynamic Range Slider to 0

Alter now volume with expression slider, or trigger the expression controller via velocity (this setting can be applied on the Control Map tab).

    best

  • That works perfectly!   Thank you very much.
