  • Hi Cyril!

VI Pro offers the possibilty to enable and disable patches and matrices. Disabled patches are displayed in light blue. They are not loaded to the RAM and cannot be played. This is not a bug, but a feature. [;)]

If you want to use the Special Edition Volumes 1 and 2 and the SE PLUS Volumes 1 and 2 with Sibelius, use the Special Edition PLUS sound set and load the Special Edition PLUS matrices (= the ones with the "+" at the end of the name; not the VI Pro matrices).

You can learn all details in the "VSL and Sibelius 7" tutorial video and in the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual at the following locations:

  • Hello Andy

    Many thanks

It should be more obvious for begginers that when you load a VI PRO patch it is loading the samples with them ;)

I have a VE Pro for percussions, what do I define on Sibelius side and in the VE pro (it is said in the manual Copy the VI presets (.fxp files) that come with the Sound Set to your VSL Custom Data folder. (Attention: this does not apply for the Sound Sets VE Special Edition and VE Special Edition PLUS,)

How can I access to Triangle .....

    Cyril

  • Hi Cyril!

For the Triangle add a Triangle instrument to your score. On the Sibelius Manual sound sets page reserve a channel for Percussion. In Vienna Ensemble (Pro) load the matrix "14S Percussion".

  • Hi Cyril!

I don't have such a table, but the list in the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual is quite similar. [;)]

  • Hello Cyril!

Please understand that we can't offer services like checking personal documents of users.

Your diagram is very small. It's hard to read what you have written. Anyway, you can't connect from Logic and Sibelius to the same VE Pro Server.

  • Hello Andi

    Thanks for your mail.

I was going to propose this document to the user comunity !

Is the solution to connect Sibelius using IAC for Midi  and VE  pro server for Logic ?

    Have a good Sunday

    Best

    Cyril

  • Hi Cyril!

It depends on what you are trying to achieve. If I needed to synchronize Sibelius with Logic, I would probably use Rewire, but I don't know what you are up to.

  • Hi Andi

The idea is to have all VSL inst in Sibelius and all audio tracks and synth in Logic,

So Sibelius will send midi with articulation changes to VE and  Logic will mainly send Audio to VE PRO SERVER

    Logic will recieve VE/MIR

As you said before that VE PRO SERVER cannot receive from Logic AND Sibelius

My idea is to receive Sibelius flow from the IAC port

Will that work ? or do I have to make another configuration

    Best

    Cyril

  • Hi Cyril!

We didn't make tests with a setup like this yet. I'm afraid I can't be of much help here. Simply give it a try.

    Best,
    Andi
