I just switched from Mac to PC and seem to have more "choices" regarding which versions of VEPro I use in Cubase. I could load the 32BIT VST3 version or the VST2 62 bit version (does a VST3 64 bit version exist?)
Which one is better for my system? Running Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit via Bootcamp on a Mac Pro 8 Core.

VEPRo 64 Bit or 32? Vst3 or Vst2? Confused

It all depends what you want to do.
- VST2 only allows 16 MIDI channels per instance (a bit like AU). However, Program changes work
- VST3 allows multiple ports per instance so you can get hundreds of MIDI channels per instance. However Program changes don't work.
- 32bit will allow loading of plugs that have no 64bit version, but you will be limited with the amount of RAM you can use
- 64bit allows virtually unlimited RAM, but you won't be able to load 32bit plugs.
