Good morning. My computer now freezes when loading VSL in pro tools LE8. Here are my computer specs. 199 GB free (after program installed) 8 GB of RAM 64 bit Intel core 13 Windows 7 Service pack 1 What can I do?

Hi,
At which point does your computer freeze? So far, you have registered Epic Horns and Special Edition Volume 2 with us, so it can only be an overload, if you are using 32 bit software (you have enough RAM).
The more details you can add, the better. You can also contact with more details, screenshots and sequencer projects right away.
Best,
Paul

It froze when the strings were loading in a session. I didn't have the problem with just Epic Horns. I'm not sure if I'm using 32 bit software (my computer is 64 bit).

Thanks for your reply. If I move my sample libraries to an external hard drive, how do I access them in Pro tools session? Additionally, I moved my VSI libraries to my external hard drive. Now Vienna Ensemble is not connecting as they were before.

Hi,
Please open the Directory Manager (find it in "Applications" (OS X) or "All Programs" (Win) => then "Vienna Instruments").
Remove all folders - then add all sample content again by drag and drop from your Finder/Explorer.
More information about how the Directory Manager works can be found in this video.
Best,
Paul

Thank you; you've been very helpful. Based on the video, I should open Vienna Ensemble from pro tools. I can open Vienna instruments w/ no problem now, but now computer freezes when I open VE. Do I open VE outside of pro tools or as an instrument track in pro tools?

Hello Paul (early morning if I remember)! It opened up but is now saying not connected. When I click reconnect it says failed to connect. I'm emailing pic.
