    Hi,

    Can anyone point me to any full string section demos on this site (or elsewhere) that use only Orchestral Strings? The full bundle is a little on the pricey side compared with some of the competitors' libraries of similar section sizes and I'd really like to hear a full track with all sections in full flight of only this library. I already have Solo, Chamber, DS for detail and the SE strings - just looking for a full sized section beyond SE without going to the Appassionala size.

    Thanks, but unless I missed something that page only has separate section samples or Adagio with Appassionata Violins added. I'm really looking for a full string orchestra track using only this library.

    I agree it would be nice to have more such demos, but at the link provided, there are two titled "Strings Universal-Mode" which should be what you're looking for.

    Thanks, but according to my understanding "Universal Mode" is a special "all sections in one patch" mode and not really comparable with a track made from separate sections.

    Hi, 

    The Universal Mode is just a matrix as any other, with different legato patches that are speed-controlled. Most instruments have such a matrix (Percussion and Keyboards don´t).

    Listen to this Demo BWV 622 "O Mensch bewein dein Sünde gross"

    It starts with Viola (solo Strings) and changes to the String-Quartet

    Chamberstrings at 02:18

    Orchestra-Strings at 03:03

    Appassionata-Strings at 3:45

    The Effects are reduced to a minimum and the reverb is always Altiverb-Teldex IR

    Here is a second one: Irish Strings

    Chamberstrings at 00:50

    Orchestra Strings at 01:35

    Appassionata Strings 02:18

    Finally once more through all the 4 String Libraries from Solos to Appassionata.

    Thanks Beat, will take a listen. I can find LASS, CS, HS, Spitfire demos all over the place but Orchestral Strings seems to be a well kept secret [:)]

     Arbee, FWIW, I found the Irish Strings demo to be particularly helpful when I was comparing the various VSL string libraries.
