    What is the ideal panning position for the 8 violins to maximise MIRx streo image? especially using MIRx in the Center front position .

    is the current panning setting in VIP for DS is ideal ?

    Hi Mazeka,

    "Ideal" is what sound best to you, the creator, in your choice of location.

    The settings in MIRx have been optimized to fit together, following a seating concept that works very well in the respective halls.

    That does not mean it works well under all circumstances. If you need more flexiblity, you should look at MIR PRO.

    Maximized stereo imaging is generally achieved the closer you get to the microphone and the broader the stereo width is.

    Paul , thanks for recommending Mir po . But I actually referring to the 8 DS players panning that is set when Iliad a matrix in VIP

    The MIRx setups were made with the default panning of  the "All"-Matrix for any VSL's Dimension Instruments (Violins, Cellos, Brass). I thought it sounded pretty nice like that. :-)

    But there's no doubt that you will get even more colorful results by using the individual players' positions.
