  • Imperial and Instruments Pro

Sorry if this has been asked before but I am unable to find any answer related. Is Imperial compatible with Instruments Pro? I ask this due in the Instruments Pro info appears the following description note:

"Please note that only Vienna Instruments Collections, Single Instruments) and Collections and Sections of the Vienna Special Editions can be loaded into Vienna Instruments PRO 2

Due Imperial is a product of Instruments Collections (inside Keyboards) it seems to me that it must be compatible in order to approach the features included in Instruments Pro like Auto Humanize and so..

The problem here is that even being specified in the Directory Manager the folder of Imperial it does not show in the Instruments Pro Presets. There is no mention about this issue in either manual, Imperial or Instruments Pro.

Is this an issue or is just that Imperial is not compatible with Instruments Pro?

    Thanks in advance

  • Vienna Imperial actually uses its own sample player, and cannot be loaded in VI Pro 2.

    Hi,

The latest Imperial Software including documentation can be found in your Imperial User Area.

    Videos are available here.

  • Thanks.

That's what I suppose, but I feel that is needed to avoid costumer confuson to specify that Imperial samples cannot be loaded in Instruments Pro. Because it is not detailed in Instruments Pro.

Thanks for your suggestions but I do not see the relevance in your answer about what I asked for.

  • Hi,

The VIENNA Imperial is the exception in the Instruments Collection.

While Humanizing is a great feature for instruments with a tough intonation, the piano tends to be tuned throughout the performance.

What is the problem with the Imperial Player, if I may ask? Maybe I´m missing something here.

  •  If you mean the bosendorfer Imperial, which needs a sampler like VI or VI Pro but Vienna Imperial has its own way to read samples, the Imperial Player. I never owned the vienna Imperial but I think it is great.

    Cheers,

  • Paul, I do wish I could achieve very short staccatto notes with the Vienna Imperial which seems not possible to do.

For example, try playing #14 of the following and its hard to achieve the desired short staccatto notes (compared to something such as Ivory II German Steinway).

    Or am I missing something?

  • Hi synergy543,

You have mentioned this before. I´m afraid the Vienna Imperial (and its short notes) is what it is.

    Best,

    Paul

  • Yes, I guess I did mention it before.  Sorry about that.

Though the problem still didn't go way.[:^)]
