Using Vienna Ensemble pro 5 as a 32 bit bridge (Logic X)
I bought Vienna Ensemble to use as a bridge for my old 32 bit plug ins on Logic X. VSL (Vienna Ensemble Pro 5) doesn't even appear in the list of effect plug ins. It does appear in the list of instrument plug ins but always launches the 64 bit version. I bought it mainly to use my old effect plug ins but like i said it doesn't even appear in that list. I've just tried to use the standalone 32 bit version an it stall everytime i try to load any effect plug ins.

I did! VSL comes up in the instrument plug in list but not the effect plug in list! Another thing i have noticed is that on the bottom left toolbar in the main Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 window (where you view the mixer ) there are only four buttons/options whereas the video tutorials i have seen online have six. The four buttons available to me are: Add a new vienna instrument channel. Add a new bus channel. Delete selected channels. toggle narrow channel strip on/off........... ps why is my message coming out as one body of text despite the fact i have used paragraphs? Very odd

You ran into a notorious "feature" of our forum engine, which always chooses the most basic settings as the default values.

HTH,
Cheers mate
Any idea on the problems with the software?

Hi Jack,
It does appear in the list of instrument plug ins but always launches the 64 bit version.
You actually have to start the VE PRO SERVER separately, the plug-in you insert in your sequencer is actually the "Vienna Ensemble PRO Server Interface", that connects to this server outside your sequencer. Also see page 7,"Quick Start", in the VE PRO 5 manual.
To play back the included Epic Orchestra, you will need our sample player, "Vienna Instruments", which is available in your VI User Area.
The 2 additional buttons you see in the video tutorial are the buttons for "Vienna Instruments", which will appear as soon as Vienna Instruments are installed, and Vienna Instruments PRO, which is available as a separate product.
Best,
Paul
