  • Windows 8 and Keyswitching Problems- driving me insane

Who here is knowledgeable about running VSL SE with VI Pro 2 using Finale 2010 on Windows 8? I really want to start writing music but the software is giving me a lot of hell. I loaded the .lib file like the website suggested and loaded the keyswitch deal and still to no avail. Is it a question of loading the file in the right place or am I technologically screwed? I can do this no problem on my iMac but I need to get this working on my Windows 8 for my home office. Please, please respond ASAP with the most detailed information you can muster; I am becoming quite desperate for solutions.

  • I don't have SE, so can't help there, but Windows 8 is a non issue.

  • Just figured it out. What I had to do was open the Finale2009 folder, open HPP, find the VSL keyswitches and click save. You have to derive the keyswitches from that document and save them into Finale itself in order for it to work.

  • Hi Illuminatus,

does this mean that the issue can be regarded as "solved" now? :-)
