    I have special edition and wanted to use the trumpet in a pop song. The special edition version does not have all the articulations I need, and so I was looking at the solo instrument as a purchase option. Before I buy, can the trumpet be effectively used to make it sound aggressive and a little dirty?

    I guess it would depend on what you mean by "aggressive and a little dirty."  (maybe cite an example of the sound you're trying to acheive).
