  • Quick question

This is obvious, I'm sure, but I need to ask: I'm assuming the Konzerthaus organ that exists as a stand-alone product (instrument) is the same as that which is part of the Special Edition Vol. 2/Plus, correct? I read nothing to suggest that there's a difference, but I want to make sure I get all the features of the organ in the special edition, otherwise I would want to order the organ separately. Please advise. Thank you.

  • It is obviously not the same instrument, or why do you think the organ alone costs 325EUR, while the Special Edition Vol.2 (it would be in the standard library, in the plus library there are no additional samples for the organ) with all the other instruments costs only 50EUR more?

To compare the instruments just click on "sample content" on the respective product page.

  • The organ in the special edition is taken from that organ, but includes only two basic stops IIRC: a flute stop and a full diapason stop, as well as the two corresponding pedal stops.  The organ in SE can serve well enough as a basic accompaniment for a basic choir patch, or with strings substituting for the choir, but is not really designed for composing traditional organ works.  For that, you would need the full organ.

  • Thank you. That answers the question and makes sense. It would be nice if the product descriptions were a little fuller -- including, perhaps what you just wrote. No problem, I'm happy to get the full versions. :-)
