Can you explain what the new Cache size option means. MIR alway's used RAM only, Is it a disk cache? Does it mean that MIR would now benefit of being used on an SSD drive?

MIR Pro' processing speed has been optimized significantly regarding the pre-rendering of the single positional IRs. You will recognize this with very movement of an Icon on a stage, but most obviously when working with Secondary Microphones (esp. when switching it off and on again for comparison).
In short: Once loaded, the IR data stays in RAM as long as the cache isn't needed for "newer" data. Ideally (depending on your system's needs) you will assign it as much space as possible.
