    What is this? Sounds like samples have a terrible modulation. Any suggestions? Please only constructive replies!

    It's called vibrato. [;)]

    This is the top layer of a 4 layer patch, as far as I remember. You should move the velocity xFade down to a lower value and only use this top layer for the start or end of notes. A section would never sustain like that. Alternatively use the Performance Legato patch instead, which has a less pronounced vibrato.
