Sibelius 7 not picking up Vienna Ensemble with a rescan of the vst folders

Hi to the forum,

I'm having trouble loading a file that uses Vienna Ensemble. It loaded up fine with no problems before, but suddenly, the files V Ensemble would not load. I checked the Active devices, and for some reason, VEn is not seen there.

When I rescanned the vst folders to fix this, I watched the rescanning, and it shows that it is rescanning Vienna Instruments dll x64 but it does not show Vienna Ensemble x64 as being rescanned.

I'm not sure why this is happening. Has anyone got some ideas how to fix this?

Hello Steve!

That's odd. I recommend uninstalling Vienna Instruments and Vienna Ensemble. Then do a search on your computer for all files "Vienna*.dll". Delete all remaining Vienna Instruments and Vienna Ensemble dlls (and according x64 dlls) you find. After that reinstall the latest version of Vienna Instruments, which can be downloaded here:

During the installation watch out where the 64-bit VST plugins are installed. Make sure that this folder is added to the effects folder in Sibelius.

Hi Andi,

thank you for your reply and help here. I did get the situation right last night and did an installation of the latest Vienna Ensemble and Vienna Instrument Pro and got the correct dll files and now all is working well.
