  • Can I reformat my pc without worries?

I want to reformat my PC. For my licenses, do I have to be aware of anything before I do so?

  • I would just pull the eLiecencer out during the process.  Liecenses are safe on there, so there should not be any issues.

Why the reformat?  I realize you may not want opinions on that, but just thought I'd ask.

  • I want to reformat because I used the PC for other purposes such as surfing the web. I think it is better to go back to the factory settings and cut out the internet connection just to be on the safe side.

  • This is just my opinion, but I belive that with Win7/8, that's not longer an issue.  It was with XP.  I use the Micrsoft AV, and have no problems using one system for everything.  I would only do a clean install now if I was "upgrading" the OS.

  • One thing you could do instead of reformating, would be to create a new partition, do a clean OS install on it, and just use that partition for your music apps and the other for day to day stuff. (I do this on both my PCs and Macs)

If you are planning on using your system just as a dedicated music PC, then your VSL lisceneses will be fine becuse they are stored on the USB dongle. If you have any other copy protected software installed on your machine, make sure you have the activation codes for it and check the companies website on how to reinstall the software before you reformat, just to be on the safe side.
