Notion4 and VSL SE1
Hi, I have got the following problem. When I choose a preset of an instrument (e.g. the violins) in Notion4, everything works, exept the dynamics. When I add a dim or cresc, neither the velocity x-fade nor die expression moves in the vienna instruments plugin. Either vel.x-fade and expression are assigned to "control change" and the controller "expression". When turning off the vel.x-fade, I can assign different dynamics to certain notes via "velocity overdub". But I also need to have a dynamic-change during one note, of course. Does anyone know that problem or at least a solution to it? Thanks a lot... Jan

Hello Jan!
The dynamics work without problems here. First I'd like to recommend updating to the latest Notion 4 version. The Notion team fixed some playback bugs in this version. If this doesn't help, did you load the Vienna Instruments from the VSL Special Edition menu in the Notion Score Setup?
Best regards,
Andi

Hello Jan!
The content of the Special Edition didn't change. So there is no "old" or "new" Special Edition. Anyway, if you have installed your content from the Special Edition DVDs, you can do a Library update which fixes a few bugs and adds matrices and presets for VI Pro users.

Hi Andi,
When I look at the instrument presets in Notion, I'm perplexed by all the redundant sample content. I know VSL had nothing to do with creating them, but wonder if you can comment on that?

Hi Andi,
I don't mean redundant in that way, I mean that within a given "vipst" instrument, almost half the cells in the various matrices are sustain or staccato patches, etc
