  • HELP, I need te Dimension Vlns manual and player!

I just bought the Dimension Violins but I cannot find the user manual!  Where can I locate it?  Also any video tutorials?  Sorry, but I'm just not finding them.

Also, clearly you can't use the regular Vienna Instruments player to use these strings.  I did not see the player which is featured in the sample videos? That player looks very different than the regular VI player. Please, please, please don't tell me I have to buy another player on top of the purchase of the Dimension Strings! Surely it must be included in the price of the Dimension Strings and I am just missing it, right? :-)

    Thanks,

    Mike

    1. The manual will be in your user area
    2. The player features is VI Pro. However all VSL Collections work with the regular VI player. It's just that to get the most out of them VI Pro is recommended.

Obviously I will want VI Pro for the Dimension Strings, but will it also bit an advantage for use with other instrument sts (e.g. brass, winds, other strings, etc)?  Also, is there any discount offerred as a result of purchasing certain sets, for instance Dimension Strings?

I'm sorry to seem obtuse, I but I just looked once again for the Dimension Strings Manual in my user area and cannot find it.  What is it listed under?

    Thank you,

    Mike

    1. I find that there are certain features, such as tuning curves, stretch and user definable legato threshold, that I wouldn't be without. I can't answer discount questions, because I don't work for VSL, but I don't think so.
    2. The manual is in a rather strange place. However it can be found at User Area/Instrument Collections/Strings and then scroll down.

    Hi,

All Library Manuals for Instruments Collections can be found in User Area => Instruments Collections => Library Manuals (column on the left side).

Strangely enough, when I checked this morning, Dimension wasn't there, but it is now. Spooky......!

  • Hi DG,

I  can´t believe how quickly these small changes arrive in the VSL User world!

We are just in the process of moving all Library Manuals to the various Download Sections of the Instruments Collections, so that it is the same system as in the Special Editions and Single Instruments.

So the sub-menu "Library Manuals" will be gone shortly and ALL Library Manuals for all our products can be found in the Download Section of the given instrument group.

And DG: You were right [<:o)]

    Paul
