I'm finding that performance with Kontakt is much more efficient when connecting to a VEP PC slave rather than using Kontakt within my mac host logic.
So what I often do is load kontakt instruments in Logic and then save multis and then load them up on the PC via VEP when I start to have processor issues.
I use MacDrive to read the OS X filesystem and then I navigate to the network to the proper file directory where I saved the multi (which I set up as a network share) and then load the multi into a Windows instance of Kontakt.
The issue is that after doing this I get the "samples missing" dialogue in Kontakt which makes loading the multi a lot more time-consuming as I have to navigate to each directory for each program within the multi. It usually comes up like the following C:\Volumes\AV1\Kontakt Libraries\Abbey Road 60s Drummer Library\etc...etc
The issue is likely the C:\Volumes which I believe the Mac would not recognize.
I've been having trouble finding a software software similar to Default Folder on the mac for Windows so navigating through the samples missing in Windows file Explorer is pretty time-consuming and inconvenient (although I just found the software called buzz folders with a similar functionality, which I haven't tested yet).
Still, I would love it if Kontakt on Windows would just navigate to the file paths stored in the multi, so if anybody has a way of dealing with this please let me know as it would be much appreciated.
