  • What is possible with I5 2ghz with 8gigabytes ram?

What is possible with I5 2ghz with 8gigabytes ram? i talk mac mini here and i have this kind setup idea for VSL. and with Logic 9.1.8 with seesms more heavy in Lion 10.7.5 than Snowleopard 10.6.8.

  • Hey! I know it's a bit late, but if you're still looking for info on this, I just purchased VSL SE vol.1 and I have a similar configuration (i5 2.4 8g MBPro). I can write some of my results if you want.

Absotely i want know its not late now i have it (actually clock is 2.5ghz) and 8gigabytes ram i get i think friday which is installed soon as possible. and i also buy basic vsl soon as possible. expect if there comes something really superior which is almost impossible...

  • So here it goes: My machine is a MacBook Pro (2010, if I remember correctly) with a dual core i5 2.4 gHz processor, 8 GB of memory (1067 mHz), and a 7200 rpm hard drive. I can load all the patches (SE Vol.1 and Vol.1 PLUS) and it takes about 4 GBs in the memory (surprisingly). So it is possible to work with everything loaded. I can also load three convolution reverbs and play full orchestral arrangements without any problems, but this seems to be the limit. I can add a few more instruments probably but that's it. I hope this was helpful!
