I'm a little confused about how the woodwind legatos, or for that matter, all the Perf Legatos, are intended to be used.
Are they principally intended only for fast sections?
Because today I was doing a passage where oboe plays a slow, lyrical line over strings, and naturally called up the Perf Leg oboe. I quickly realized that though it played great, it had no vibrato. So this means, everytime I want a vibrato note in the figure, I have to set up another midi track, and load a Non Perf Legato Oboe for just THAT note with vibrato, and then try to hope I can match everything up.
Is this what everyone is really doing?
Thanks
