software elicenser with VSL libraries?
Reading several of the VSL products pages it mentions using a Vienna Key or a Syncrosoft USB key to hold licenses. I don't have either key but do have and use the software version of the elicenser to authorize my 3 Arturia synths (CS80, Moog Modular, Moog Mini). Can I use this software elicenser instead of another hardware key? Would be simpler if I could (although not as simple if VSL used iLok which I already have). If I had to go with the USB key and not the software version I'd also have to get a hub as I'm out of USB ports and I've heard that going through a hub can have glitches sometimes. Thanks Jack

Hi Jack,
You will need a physical eLicenser key like the ViennaKey.
Alternatively, you can also use a Steinberg or Arturia Key, if you have one or can get one faster (they are usually available in music stores, and it´s the same copy protection system, "eLicenser").Regarding hubs: This is mostly about the power supply, and if a simple USB hub doesnt work (I use those all the time), you can also go for a powered hub.
Best,
Paul

Thank you for the prompt reply and clarification. Was hoping to get away without the added complication of another key and a hub but I guess not. Just have to make room for it somewheres.
