    I was doing some tests with my setup.  WITH internet connected, it all loads very fast and normal.  All 3 instances connect in about 30 seconds.  pretty fast, for the size of my template.

    I then unplugged the switcher (that has my Mac and Slave Mac on it) from the internet, and things take FOREVER to load.. like 4+ minutes to connect to 3 instances.  It almost is like DP crashes.. but if you wait, it connects eventually..

    So I ask,  Why does it need internet to connect to VEP Instances?  ..is there some type of license checking going on?

    Sorry, I should have said "Connects" rather than "Loads" in the title..

    Internet has nothing to do with it. If you´re not working with static IP addresses yet..... that could be your solution.

    Vienna Ensemble tries to resolve host names. When unplugging a network connection like that, there might be a long OS timeout occurring during these resolving calls, causing the delays you are experiencing. I doubt that it would take that long, if you disconnect the machine from the network, reboot it, and then try to connect.

    That makes sense.  I didn't try restarting my computer..
